COLLABORATIVE WORK

STATEMENT:
In one way or another, we invested in each other’s production, whether by offering suggestions, giving critiques, assisting with tech challenges, or acting as body double. There are indeed few pieces that were not shaped and improved by the other.  Whenever there was a camera and a subject, however, our natural roles emerged, with Colleen behind the lens and Rani in front of it. Additionally, our separate work can often be identified by media: photography and lens-based work is Colleen's; painting and illustrative work is Rani's.  

This website and the "Double Jinx" exhibition at the Hill's Building involved equal contributions toward a common vision, as did the pieces in this gallery. Working together proved to us that our artistic collaboration (or, as we say, “corroboration”) is everything we hoped it could be—fun, exciting, and worthy of more adventures together.
